  • Patent number: 6206651
Abstract: The invention relates to an oil pump for an internal combustion engine with at least one pair of toothed wheels which are in mutual engagement, at least one intake port and at least one outlet port. An improved supply of oil at reduced driving power can be achieved with at least two pairs of toothed wheels; a first common shaft, which a first toothed wheel of each pair of toothed wheels is arranged, and means are provided to charge the individual pairs of toothed wheels with oil depending on the required quantity of conveyed oil.

  • Patent number: 6158422
Abstract: The invention concerns a supercharging arrangement (1) for the charge air an internal combustion engine (2), in particular a piston engine (3), with a multi-cycle pressure wave machine (13) connected for flow to a feed line for the charge air and an exhaust line for the exhaust gases. The arrangement further comprises a cell rotor (15) which is rotatably mounted in a bearing arrangement in a housing, in particular has a plurality of grooves and is connected to a rotary drive and a control device (19).

  • Patent number: 6102674
Abstract: The invention relates to an electrically operated coolant pump with a rotor which is encompassed by a stator of the electromotor and comprises a rotor shaft with hollow design through which the liquid supply to the impeller is made, with the stator being arranged in a stator chamber of the motor housing and the rotor shaft being rotationally held in the motor housing, with the bearing of the rotor shaft being effected by way of roller bearings. In order to increase the efficiency and reduce the wear and tear of the bearings, it is proposed that at least one roller bearing is arranged as a leakproof roller bearing and sealing elements are integrated in the roller bearing cages, and that the stator chamber which is separated in a leakproof manner from the conveying liquid is provided with a dry design.
