  • Patent number: 12086812
Abstract: Arrangements for providing device performance and functionality evaluation are provided. In some aspects, a request to evaluate performance or functionality of a device may be received. The request may be received in a response to failure of a first transaction, made with the payment device, to process. A diagnostic tool may be executed and one or more diagnostic tests may be performed. For instance, an attempt to connect, e.g., via near-field communication, to the payment device may be initiated. If the attempt to connect is not successful, a determination may be made that the payment device is not functioning as expected and a first notification may be generated and transmitted to a user device. If the connection is successful, one or more additional diagnostic tests may be executed to evaluate functionality. If functionality is as expected, a second, different notification may be generated and transmitted to the user.
