  • Patent number: 4798305
Abstract: A shipping tray that can be adjusted to various internal dimensions, by different placement of one or more moveable partitions. The partitions are held in position by means of interlocking surfaces formed on the ends and bottom of the partition and on the inside walls and interior bottom of the tray.

  • Patent number: 4582583
Abstract: The plating apparatus (10) includes a pair of loop belts (20,21) rotating on two sets of pulleys, each set of pulleys including pulleys (11,12), to drive a strip (40) to be stripe plated past a translatingly movable electrolyte manifold (41) containing a series of electrolyte inlet and outlet slots (70,71) in its strip-facing surface. Electrolyte is sprayed from the inlet slots through apertures (24) in a back-up layer of at least one of the belts and through a slot (22) formed between belt segments. Vacuum or air pressure inlets (78,96) are provided at the ends of the manifold to prevent egress of electrolyte from the nip between the pairs of belts. One pulley of each set of pulleys is adjustable to tension the belt and an intermediate roller arrangement is included between each of the pulleys in each set to monitor the belt tension and provide sufficient frictional holding contact between the belts and the workpiece strip and desired sliding contact between the belts and the manifold surface.

  • Patent number: 4409924
Abstract: In a system for plating precisely located spots on an intermittently moved strip of metal, a spring loaded pawl on the spot defining mask is positioned to grasp holes in the strip and move just the mask a short distance with the strip so as to insure mask alignment with the strip.

  • Patent number: 4378283
Abstract: A consumable-anode selective plating apparatus for plating a continuous metal strip having a container for containing a consumable anode material, a mask assembly for exposing selected areas of said continuous metal strip to an electrolyte, a source of electrolyte and a source of power and conductors for passing a current through said electrolyte, consumable anode material and metal strip.

  • Patent number: 4323202
Abstract: An adaptor core for rotatably mounting a coreless roll of labels or the like on the spindle of a labeling gun of the type designed to accept only cored rolls of labels. The adaptor core comprises a hollow generally cylindrical body of one-piece construction having a central circular opening therein, and a series of relatively thin resilient fingers formed integrally with the body and extending laterally outwardly therefrom at the periphery of the body. The core is placed in the central opening of a coreless roll of labels with the fingers engaging the roll and being sprung inwardly by the roll. The outward springing force exerted by the fingers against the roll is sufficient to secure the body in place relative to the roll with the opening in the body generally concentric with the opening in the roll for receiving the spindle of the labeling gun thereby to rotatably mount the adaptor core and roll on the spindle.

  • Patent number: 4154166
Abstract: A hand-held label printing and applying gun for large, legible special-purpose labels. The gun has a printing head in which a printing mat is removably held in place by a magnet so as to facilitate quick change of printing mats.

  • Patent number: 4122980
Abstract: A top for attachment to the neck opening of a container, wherein the top has a lower extremity provided with a passage therethrough. The top is molded from a suitable plastic material and has a stopper integral therewith in alignment with the passage at one end thereof. A line of weakness between the top and the stopper allows the stopper to be manually shifted back and forth and broken away from the top. The stopper can then be inverted into the passage to provide a removable stopper for closing the passage.
