  • Patent number: 5532703
Abstract: An extended retractable wire-type antenna of a portable cellular telephone is coupled to a coaxial cable extending from a remote external antenna by a coupler including an elongated body formed by two mating longitudinal sections molded of a rigid plastics material. The body sections have longitudinally spaced opposing hook-shaped tabs which clip onto the extended antenna in response to slight flexing of the antenna. The sections define an internal cavity for receiving the coaxial cable at one end and for positioning an approximately quarter wave length cable conductor element adjacent the extended antenna in parallel relation to produce an effective inductive connection. A plastic screw prevents sliding of the coupler on the retractable antenna.

  • Patent number: 4122365
Abstract: A piezoelectric buzzer has a piezoelectric crystal mounted on a circular mounting plate. Supporting struts are integrally formed in the mounting plate by punching strut shaped portions in the plate and bending these portions such that they are substantially perpendicular to the plate. The struts are positioned on the nodal circle of the transducer so that the vibration of the transducer is not substantially impaired by the mounting arrangement. An oscillator circuit is connected to provide a potential between the mounting plate and a first electrode positioned on the surface of the crystal opposite the mounting plate. A second electrode, positioned on the surface of the piezoelectric crystal adjacent the first electrode, provides a feedback signal to the oscillator circuit. The unique buzzer design allows the buzzer components to be assembled by a one-step soldering process.

  • Patent number: 4066324
Abstract: A coaxial cable is secured in a curved channel between two body halves. The shield conductor of the cable is passed through one of the body halves to a position compressed against the conductive frame to which the mount is attached. The center conductor is compressed between the other body half and a mounting bolt which supports an antenna socket on the mount, completing the shield and center conductor circuits from the coaxial cable without solder.

  • Patent number: 3950744
Abstract: A modular buzzer device which includes a striker arm, a diaphragm, and electromagnetic means for oscillating the striker arm. The device is housed in a container with a shape and size corresponding to a common electronic component configuration. The diaphragm is molded onto the housing and forms the top wall thereof. The striker arm is welded to one leg of an iron core used in oscillating the striker arm.
