  • Patent number: 6968979
Abstract: An apparatus and method is disclosed for conveniently reducing spillage from dispensers. A base secures to, or is secured by the base. A holder secures to the base and receives a disposable cup. The disposable cup is typically readily available and may be readily replaced when the cup becomes full. The holder may be adjustable with respect to the dispenser to vary the position of the holder with respect to a spigot. The holder may be secured to the dispenser in an out-of-the-way position for ready storage and transportation. An adjustable holder, or a selectively inserted insert, may enable the holder to accommodate disposable cups of differing sizes.

  • Publication number: 20040168119
Abstract: The present invention discloses a method, apparatus, and article of manufacture for creating a report on a computer. In accordance with an embodiment of the present invention, one or more nodes of a decision tree are displayed to a user. Information about the displayed nodes are then received from a user. The information includes at least one selected node. The structured report is converted into a report based on the selected nodes. In another embodiment of the present invention, the structured report is stored in a database that is connected to the computer. In a further embodiment, the structured report is electronically distributed via the Internet. The invention has utility for dynamically creating a structured report that can be accessed instantaneously.

  • Patent number: 5958224
Abstract: The instant invention is directed to a process for removing hard sulfurs from hydrocarbon streams by selectively oxidizing hard sulfurs in a hydrotreated stream, under oxidizing conditions in the presence of an effective amount of an oxidizing agent, wherein the oxidizing agent is a peroxometal complex and wherein the hard sulfurs are oxidized into the corresponding sulfoxides and sulfones.

  • Patent number: 5855935
Abstract: Injection moulding apparatus consists of a rotary carrier (11) which transports a number of mould sets (14,15) in turn through an injection station (46), cooling stations (35) and a mould opening station (27). The injection body (62) is upwardly arranged, and there is a positioning device (71-74) for adjusting the position of the injection head (60) when in an injection position and in a withdrawn position, and a further positioning device (65,66) for moving the injection head (60) relative to the injection body. The clamping device (47) at the injection station and the cooling device (36,37) at the cooling station can also be used as heat transfer devices. The sprue formed between the mould cavity (17) and the inlet (18) of the mould set can be severed while the mould set is closed. During transfer between the injection station and the opening station, tools (14) and (15) of the mould set are held in a closed condition by connectors (16) and retaining elements (21,22) which are part of the mould set.

  • Patent number: 5674822
Abstract: A low emissions, high oxidative stability crankcase lubricating oil formulation which is prepared from a base stock which comprises at least one synthetic ester selected from the group consisting of: polyol esters, synthetic esters having between 5-35% unconverted hydroxyl groups, based on the total amount of hydroxyl groups in the polyol, and synthetic esters combined with at least one additional functional group which is capable of increasing the polarity of the functionalized synthetic ester, wherein the base stock has an oxygen, nitrogen or halogen content of at least 15 wt. %, based on the total weight of the base stock; and a lubricant additive package.

  • Patent number: 4100076
Abstract: Finely divided particulate inorganic antimony compounds which are surface modified with an organic titanium compound having the formulaTi(OR).sub.4wherein each R is independently an alkyl, aryl, cycloalkyl, or vinyl group containing from one to about 18 carbon atoms, orTi(OR').sub.2 (OYX).sub.2wherein X is oxygen or nitrogen, Y is a two- or three-carbon atom chain, and R' is equal to R, H or the ligand represented by XYOH are described. These surface modified antimony compounds may be incorporated into various organic resin and elastomer systems to improve the flame-retardant properties of these materials.

  • Patent number: 3955210
Abstract: A complementary field effect transistor structure which eliminates the problems caused by parasitic currents between devices. The currents are contained within parasitic bipolar devices formed between the various regions of the FETs. A portion of the collector current of the parasitic bipolar devices is drained away so that the loop gain is less than one. This is achieved by placing guard regions of conductivity type which are the same as the channel type of the transistors adjacent said regions. The guard region is preferably in the form of a continuous ring around its associated FET.
