Abstract: The present invention relates to a kit for items of furniture, consisting of at least one bearing trestle (2, 8, 9, 10, 19, 20, 25) and at least two bearing struts (1, 14, 15, 16, 17), wherein the bearing trestle (2, 8, 9, 10, 19, 20, 25) and the bearing struts (1, 14, 15, 16, 17) are formed from laminar foldable materials, wherein the bearing trestle (2, 8, 9, 10, 19, 20, 25) has slots (3) in the bearing area (5) for inserting the bearing struts (1, 14, 15, 16, 17), and wherein the bearing struts (1, 14, 15, 16, 17) are insertable in folded form into the slots (3), wherein the bearing struts (1, 14, 15, 16, 17) has at least one folding mark (6) in longitudinal direction, along which the bearing strut (1, 14, 15, 16, 17) can be folded by up to 180°. Furthermore, the object of the invention is solved by providing an item of furniture, fabricated from the kit according to the invention, and is in form of a bed, a table, a stool, a pedestal, a seat bench, a seat surface or a lying surface.
