  • Publication number: 20040229676
Abstract: A method of playing a game of chance wherein a primary game is provided. This primary game has primary game indicia organized in a structure characteristic to its type. A subset of the primary game indicia is duplicated in a structure characteristic to a secondary game. At least part of the primary game is played and elements from the primary game outcome are used to play the secondary game. • Publication number: 20040171414
Abstract: The invention consists in a method of playing a participation game involving comparison of players' objects (a.k.a. game cards) with a common object (a.k.a. draw result) remaining the same until the end of the game. The method involves players placing requests. Upon reception of requests, the system provides the requesting player with a game card and the active draw result. The system evaluates if a comparison between the game card and draw result fulfills an end-of-game criterion. When such criterion is fulfilled, the game card is declared a winning card and the system prevents the distribution of new cards. Otherwise, the system continues providing cards until the criterion is fulfilled. Accordingly, a suitable system is also described for the play of said participation game.

  • Publication number: 20040165729
Abstract: The present invention consists in a system for securing data exchanged between two users having a First Information Processing System (FIPS) and a Second Information Processing System (SIPS) that have been correspondently paired. To complete encryption, the system includes a FIPS to encrypt data with a key, a SIPS to encrypt said key with a stored correspondent key and to encrypt correspondent key identifier with a public key common to the SIPSs. The integrated secured data include FIPS and SIPS encrypted information. The invention is also suitable for decryption. The invention further comprises structures to perform correspondent pairing between two SIPSs in order to exchange secured information. Furthermore, it comprises a pairing method wherein the SIPSs identify each other, exchange ciphered availability codes on the basis of available keys and key identifiers, and also set a correspondence pairing when a key and key identifier available in both SIPSs are identified.

  • Publication number: 20040166919
Abstract: The invention is a new structure of electronic lottery tickets wherein the quantity of information contains in one ticket may vary. Based on rules, each electronic lottery ticket contains information corresponding to a primary ticket plus either none, one or a plurality of subsequent tickets. Therefore, playing an electronic lottery ticket of this kind may involve a plurality of subsequent plays while requiring only a single ticket request from a ticket distribution system. Furthermore, via the use of this structure of electronic lottery tickets, an increase of the incentive of the game is available via free tickets, bonuses, changes in the outcome format, etc. Finally, the invention discloses a system suitable for the generation and distribution of a game using this new structure of electronic lottery tickets.

  • Patent number: 6769984
Abstract: Method of processing primary game outcomes in order to determine a prize in an auxiliary game comprising: establishing a first class of outcomes associated with a credit event, a second class of outcomes associated with a no-credit event, a third class of outcomes associated with a non-event hold and a fourth class of outcomes associated with a tradable event in the auxiliary game; monitoring the credit events over a predetermined number of past events in said auxiliary game and awarding at least one prize when at least one of the predetermined numbers or configurations of credits occur. The method further allows the player to exchange tradable events for credit or no-credit events. This invention allows a plurality of primary games to share a common auxiliary game and balances, for each primary games, the chances of winning a prize in the auxiliary game.

  • Publication number: 20040130096
Abstract: The invention consists in a wagering game of the same kind as a bingo game characterized by the use of a set of game indicia (bingo balls) bearing the same identifications as the area identifications of the game card or cards. Furthermore, no additional game indicia bearing identification not borne by the game card are included in the set of game indicia. Furthermore, the invention consists in a method of playing said game wherein at least one player places a bet. Upon reception of said bet, the player is provided with at least one game card bearing area designations. Designations are drawn according to the rules of the game. Card areas are daubed based on a match between the drawn designations and card designations. At the end, the card is evaluated to determine whether it fulfills a winning criterion, with a prize being awarded in the case of a positive evaluation.

  • Patent number: 6722975
Abstract: A method for playing a poker game along with an auxiliary game, which depends on the poker game outcomes, is provided. The outcomes of the poker game are divided in three categories: credit events, no-credit events and non-event holds. Depending on their categories, outcomes influence the auxiliary game in different ways. The preferred way the auxiliary game works is by monitoring credit and no-credit events with a time window having neither a beginning nor an end; the amount of information monitored being constant. When a predetermined number of credits is accumulated within the monitoring window, an auxiliary prize is awarded. The invention also provides ways to display the information monitored by the auxiliary game so that this information is easy for players to understand and to follow. Accordingly, the invention provides an enhanced play experience that maintains excitement.

  • Publication number: 20030146574
Abstract: The object of the present invention is a method of awarding prizes, also known as progressive jackpots, in association with a wagering game such as a Poker game. A particular application of this method is in association with a Poker game on an electronic gaming device. For awarding the progressive jackpot, players must accumulate in a counter a number of point corresponding exactly to one of the predetermined criteria. To obtain points, players have only to play the Poker game as on any other Poker machine. The points are added in the counter along with the winning outcomes in the game. A particular embodiment consists of awarding two kinds of points: win points and no-win points. With this embodiment, only win points are effective to win the progressive jackpot. The no-win points increase the counter values but can not lead to winning the jackpot.
