    Abstract: Children's playground toys constructed from used tires are coated with an epoxy resin coating which is resistant to abrasion, temperature fluctuations and which adheres firmly during flexing and stretching of the tires during use. The coating enhances the visual appearance and functional characteristics of the equipment and prevents rub-off from the tire bodies onto the skin or clothing of children using the playground toys.
