Abstract: The present invention provides a garment system for providing the user with an array of different garment styles, utilizing a minimum of pieces of apparel, comprising a garment body portion which encircles the body of the wearer and is provided with a means of detachably securing a lapel piece to the body portion for forming a unitary body garment. The garment body portion may be a vest, suit coat, sport jacket or tuxedo whose styling may be changed by fitting a variety of lapel styles and colors.
