  • Patent number: 7551170
Abstract: A system for sensing the state of a display includes a display, a sensor proximate to said display configured to detect electromagnetic radiation generated by said display, at least one signal processing means configured to process a signal received from said sensor, and wherein said at least one signal processing means outputs a signal representative of the state of said display. The system may also include a media device, in communication with said display, the state of which may be coordinated with the state of said display in response to the output of said at least one signal processing means.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 8, 2004
Date of Patent: June 23, 2009
    Assignee: Bose Corporation
    Inventor: Gerald Eaton
  • Publication number: 20060281876
Abstract: A polymerization reactor having at least three side wall surfaces and a bottom wall surface forming a reservoir and at least one heat exchanger plate in fluid communication with a coolant source, wherein each of the at least one heat exchanger plate is disposed on a lid. The polymerization reactors of the present invention permit large amounts of polymer to be formed in each reactor batch. Preferably, polymers are formed in the polymerization reactor by bulk polymerization. Methods for forming polymers is also disclosed.
    Type: Application
    Filed: August 21, 2006
    Publication date: December 14, 2006
    Inventors: Gerald Eaton, Patrick Trainor

  • Publication number: 20060188414
Abstract: A polymerization reactant injection system having a monomer conduit, a co-catalyst conduit, and a catalyst conduit, in fluid communication with each other such that a polymerization reactant mixture may be formed without mechanical mixers or agitators. The polymerization reactant injection systems of the present invention permit large amounts of polymerization reactant mixtures to be formed without the increased costs associated with additional mechanical equipment. Methods for forming polymerization reactant mixtures are also disclosed.
