    Abstract: A deflector type spray nozzle for fire protection systems in marine or land storage spaces with little headroom between the stored items and the ceiling. The nozzle is adapted to discharge a uniformly distributed, symmetrical spray pattern in a nearly horizontal direction so as to reach all ammunition, supplies, or other boxed or crated items within the field of the spray pattern underlying the nozzle. The nozzle would also be useful in applications other than fire protection systems where the headroom is limited and a symmetrical, uniformly distributed spray pattern in a nearly horizontal direction is needed.
