Patent number: 12577180Abstract: The disclosure relates to fertilizer coating compositions and methods for making thereof. The fertilizer coating comprises a decarboxylated rosin acid (DCR) component, optional bitumen and other additives. The DCR has a Kb value of 25-90, a density of 0.9 to 1.0 g/cm3 at 20° C., an aniline point of 3-40° C., and an acid value of <50 mg KOH/g. The fertilizer coated with the coating composition has a reduction in dust level of >25% after 2 weeks of aging compared to a fertilizer not having the coating composition disposed thereon, according to Dust Level Measurement Test.Type: GrantFiled: September 8, 2022Date of Patent: March 17, 2026Assignee: Kraton Chemical LLCInventors: Gerald Heebner, Lloyd Nelson

Publication number: 20260013499Abstract: The disclosure relates to agricultural spray compositions that reduce spray drift using a drift control adjuvant comprising decarboxylated rosin acid (DCR), a surfactant system, and optional components, in combination with an agricultural chemical component in a carrier. The drift control agent may be supplied as neat DCR or as part of the adjuvant. Methods include preparing the spray by (i) combining the adjuvant with a concentrated agricultural chemical component to form a concentrate composition and diluting with a carrier, or (ii) diluting the agricultural chemical component with a carrier and subsequently adding the adjuvant. When discharged through spray nozzles, the compositions increase droplet size and narrow the droplet-size distribution, thereby reducing fine droplets and spray drift while maintaining coverage and compatibility across a range of agricultural actives.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 19, 2025Publication date: January 15, 2026Applicant: Kraton CorporationInventors: Gerald Heebner, Rebekah Brucato

Patent number: 12415190Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for the beneficiation of an ore in a froth flotation process. The method comprises contacting an ore in a liquid medium to a collector composition comprising a plant-derived liquid decarboxylated rosin acid (DCR) collector. The DCR comprises 40 to 100 wt. % of tricyclic compounds having 18-20 carbon atoms, one or more C?C groups, and m/z (mass/charge) value of 220-280. The DCR has an oxygen content of <5%, a density of 0.9 to 1.0 g/cm3 at 20° C., and an acid value of <50 mg KOH/g.Type: GrantFiled: December 17, 2021Date of Patent: September 16, 2025Assignee: Kraton CorporationInventors: Gerald Heebner, Lloyd Nelson
