Abstract: Systems and methods of providing operational information in a first shipping facility at a first location which receives items from at least one second shipping facility which is at a second location. One embodiment is a method which includes collecting facility processing data representative of activities at the first shipping facility, collecting shipping data representative of activities at least one second shipping facility, the data based on items being shipped from the at least one second shipping facility to the first shipping facility, determining operational information from the facility processing data and the shipping data, the operational information relating to at least one aspect of processing items received at the first shipping facility, communicating at least a portion of the operational information to a wireless device at the first shipping facility, and displaying the operational information communicated to the wireless device on a user interface of the wireless device.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for reconciling data associated with delivery items, such as mail. In one embodiment, a computer-implemented method reconciles data associated with a delivery item shipment. The method includes the steps of receiving a first set of data associated with the shipment, and electronically receiving a second set of data associated with the shipment. The method further includes the steps of scanning the shipment during processing for scanned data associated with the shipment and determining if the first set of data matches the second set of data. If the first or second set of data matches the second set of data, the method determines if the second set of data matches the scanned data. If the first or second set of data matches the scanned data, the method indicates both the first set of data and the second set of data as valid.

Abstract: Systems and methods for aggregating item delivery statistics in an item delivery system. In accordance with an illustrative embodiment, information associated with one or more delivery items is collected at one or more locations in the item delivery system. The collected item delivery information is forwarded to a management system configured to store the information. The management system receives related information for a plurality of delivery items and aggregates at least some of the related information. In response to a user request, the management system may be configured to return a selected set of aggregated item delivery statistics to the user. The user can use the aggregated statistics to identify trends, bottlenecks, service standards, and other flow-related information that could not be easily tracked using prior item delivery systems.

Abstract: A method of providing a stamp unit assembly with a tracking code comprising the steps of receiving a roll of stamp unit assemblies, providing the roll to a printer, applying a tracking code to each individual stamp in the roll of stamp unit assemblies using the printer, and separating the roll of stamp unit assemblies into individual mail stamp unit assemblies. The tracking code, in combination with a database having other codes associated with stages of the distribution of the stamp allows the vendor of the stamp to be determined from an inspection of the stamp.
