  • Publication number: 20070080748
Abstract: A system and method for increasing accuracy of transmitter power detection over a larger range of output power levels wherein a diode detector is followed by a series cascade of 2 op amps. The first op amp functions as a differential/buffer amplifier, which improves temperature performance. The second op amp has two selectable gain factors. The output of the second op amp is routed to the ADC. A single control can is connected to a controllable switching device that configures the second op amp for high gain or low gain.

  • Publication number: 20060052982
Abstract: A time measurement circuit includes N time stamping units that each includes a dual sinusoid interpolator for achieving high timing resolution. The time measurement circuit is capable of time stamping input signals at a high re-trigger rate, and is thus well suited for quickly measuring the timing jitter of test signals in automatic test systems.

  • Publication number: 20060032047
Abstract: An apparatus for inserting filler elements such as sealing plugs within electrical connectors includes a threaded connector, a serrated grip, an ergonomic handle and a hollow tube for receiving filler elements of various sizes. The hollow tube assembly may be interchangeable with variously sized hollow tubes to accommodate the various sized filler elements.

  • Publication number: 20040125754
Abstract: A method and apparatus for distributing broadcast quality video (or similar timing critical data) in the home over a network that is also carrying IP traffic integrates non-IP video traffic with IP traffic in a seamless manner. The present invention provides a method and apparatus for creating a network with mixed traffic, e.g., both timing critical traffic, such as MPEG type traffic, and IP traffic. The method transmits the timing critical data directly to a Media Access Control (MAC) layer and adds one or more specific functions to the Media Access Control to maintain timing restrictions of the timing critical data. The timing critical data can include an MPEG video data stream, and the one or more specific functions are then one or more MPEG specific functions.

  • Patent number: 5430353
Abstract: A lamp inlead assembly for a light source having a lamp envelope with at least one end region in which the lamp inlead assembly is sealably disposed includes and outer lead wire member to which power to the light source is coupled, an inner lead wire member to which the light generating device is connected, whether incandescent or discharge, and a thin foil member disposed therebetween on which the inner and outer lead wire members are fixedly secured. The thin foil member is constructed of molybdenum and is essentially uniform in thickness throughout.

  • Patent number: 4959585
Abstract: An electric incandescent lamp having an improved coiled refractory metal filament construction is disclosed which enables the lamp to provide a more precise light source. Various lamp and coiled filament configurations are disclosed to include employment of a reflective film for improved efficiency of lamp operation while a halogen substance can also be included in the inert gas filling for this purpose. A method to manufacture the disclosed lamp improvement is also provided.

  • Patent number: 4953685
Abstract: The steps of the escalator move along a curved path which has a fixed constant radius when viewed in plan. The step chain also follows the constant radius path and thus its effective length must vary at different locations along its path of travel in order to keep the step rollers on their constant radius tracks. The effective length of the step chain is varied using an eccentric pivot cam at chain link connections spaced along the chain whereby the degree of overlap of adjacent links can be changed by controlling the path along which cam actuating rollers travel. The cam actuating rollers control operation of the eccentric pivot cam link connections.

  • Patent number: 4946020
Abstract: The handrail guide is suitable for use on very thin escalator balustrades, such as are typically made of glass or the like. The handrail-contacting-track surface is formed from a low friction plastic material. The plastic track member is affixed to a mount base which clips onto the balustrade, and the track is reinforced by a recessed steel strip plate fastened directly to the base through the track.
