    Abstract: In a telecommunication network having a data management system, a method for modifying the operating system of a telecommunication terminal device connected to the network. An operating system modified according to the method allows the telecommunication terminal device to check for errors in a data transmission. If an error in the data transmission is found, connection between the terminal device and the network's data management system is aborted, a new connection between the terminal device and the network's data management system is made, and the data transmission is repeated.
