The method also includes retrieving information related to the cluster of networked servers, generating deployment descriptors from the information, and deploying the one or more program units to the cluster using at least the deployment descriptor.

The customization includes the ability to select the target application server and optionally, the target platform and operating system.

The information is presented to a user for selection and the selected information is used to create a tool command language script for deploying to one or more desired application servers.
