Abstract: An apparatus useful for disseminating volatile liquid such as fragrance into an atmosphere from an evaporating surface adapted to oscillate in the atmosphere. Oscillation is caused and maintained by means of two magnets, one a permanent magnet, the other an electromagnet, one of which is attached to the evaporating surface. The electromagnet is caused to repel the permanent magnet at such points in the oscillation that the oscillation is maintained.

Abstract: A device which uses a heat source for heating and diffusing fragrant oils or insecticidal oils. The oil is contained in a reservoir remote from the heat source and the device comprises means for transferring the oil from a reservoir to a surface of a heat-absorbing means wherein heat from the heat source is transferred by conduction to said surface to volatilise the oil.

Abstract: The invention is concerned with post-foaming cleaning compositions which may be dispensed from a pressurised container. The compositions contain a post-foaming agent, for example a volatile hydrocarbon which boils and causes the composition to fizz on the surface of a fabric to be cleaned thereby enhancing the cleaning effect. The compositions contain high amount of volatile hydrocarbon, i.e. about 20 to 40% by weight, and a surfactant component consisting of or comprising a fatty alcohol ethoxylate.

The vertical body further includes at an open end a silky material with irregular shapes to simulate the profiles of a flame such as a candle flame. Within the vertical body is a means for supplying an air current such that, when operating, the air current passes upward causing the silky material to flutter and simulate a flame, while also entraining vaporizable material which is present in the wick.

The screen (3) is connected to the shaft (2) and includes a second capillary medium (5) suitable for receiving the liquid (27) drawn by the first capillary medium (4) and distributing it over at least a major part of the screen (3) where it evaporates.

Abstract: A cleaning composition containing a viscosity-stabilizing amount of tripropylene glycol monomethyl ether, dipropylene glycol monomethyl ether, and sodium di-alkyl sulphosuccinate is provided. Furthermore, cleaning compositions comprising hydroxyethyl cellulose, diethylene glycol monoethyl ether, tripropylene glycol monomethyl ether, dipropylene glycol monomethyl ether, sodium alkyl ethoxy sulphate, sodium lauryl sulphate, cocoamide diethanolamine, a sodium di-alkyl sulphosuccinate, and water which demonstrates superior viscosity stability are disclosed. The invention also provides methods of forming same.

Abstract: A gel air-freshener device comprising a container defining a cavity for receiving a fragrance-containing gel matrix (7), the container having an aperture (4) for permitting ingress of air into the cavity and egress of fragrance from the cavity, and having first (1) and second ends (3), which ends abut the gel-matrix (7) and move freely relative to each other as the gel matrix (7) shrinks upon evaporation of the fragrance. The device exploits the shrinkage of the gel-matrix (7) and translates this into movement of the device thereby providing a visual cue as to the condition of the gel matrix and in particular when it is exhausted.

Abstract: A cleaning device for cleaning surfaces such a toilet bowls or baths comprising a handle having a trigger at one end and a head at the other. The head is adapted to fit into a disposable cleaning pad in the form of a slipper. The cleaning pad is fixed to the head during the cleaning operation and it may be attached or removed from the head by fixing means actuated by the trigger means. The fixing means are actively disengaged from the cleaning pad by ejection means.

Abstract: A fabric refreshing composition is disclosed, which provides long-lasting fragrance retention, malodor reduction, and wrinkle abatement. This composition includes a water soluble silicone of the formula I: wherein M is 40 to 200, N is 0 to 20, and R1 is a polyethylene or a polypropylene ether; a fragrance composition; and an aqueous carrier comprising an emulsifier. Processes for refreshing fabrics using such compositions are also provided.
