  • Publication number: 20240154351
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing an assembly (1) and to an assembly (1) for distributing data, comprising an input/output device (2) with at least two interfaces (11, 13) for transmitting data between participants (8, 9) connected to the interfaces (11, 13), wherein data cables (3, 4) are provided, via which the respective participant (8, 9) is connected to the interface (11, 13) corresponding to said participant at the completed input/output device (2). The invention is characterized in that a housing of the input/output device (2) is produced in a plastic injection molding method, and in the process a respective end region of the data cable (3, 4) is surrounded by the housing.

  • Publication number: 20180307646
Abstract: The invention relates to a distribution module (1) and method for operating a distribution module. A distribution module comprises a housing (2) and a bus connection (3) and multiple device connections (4). Selection means (5), in particular a rotary selector switch, are provided, by means of which one of multiple communication protocols which are stored in a memory within the housing (2) can be manually selected from outside the housing (2). Alternatively, the selection means can also be configured as a DIP switch, membrane keyboard, touchscreen or key switch. The memory is preferably non-volatile. When a protocol is chosen and the controller parameterises the distribution module via said protocol, and a device then starts cyclic data exchange, the ID of said protocol is thereby also stored in a non-volatile manner. Electronic units such as computing units, memories, power supply and the suchlike are accommodated in the housing (2).

  • Patent number: 6634910
Abstract: An electric appliance (1) comprising modules (2, 3) that can be juxtaposed to one another and interconnected using bridge elements (4) for transmitting electric signals and operating voltages. The modules (2, 3) and bridge elements (4) are provided with a pair of plug-in connectors (31) and also a pair of mating plug-in connectors (25, 26). The plug-in connectors (31) are each mounted in a cylindrical outer sleeve (36), and the mating plug-in connectors (25, 26) are mounted in cylindrical ducts or penetrations (19). An O-shaped sealing ring or gasket (38) is arranged about the circumference of each outer sleeve (36), so that the O-shaped gaskets (38) are under pressure when the outer sleeves (36) are inserted in the penetration (19) to interconnect the plug-in connectors (31) and the mating plug-in connectors (25, 26).

  • Publication number: 20020182942
Abstract: The invention relates to an electric appliance (1) comprising modules (2, 3) that can be juxtaposed to one another and can be connected by means of bridge members (4) for transmitting electric signals and an operating voltage. Said members are provided with two plug-in connectors (31) respectively which can be plugged in adapted mating plug-in connectors (25, 26) of two modules (2, 3) that are arranged adjacent to one another. A cylindrical duct (19) of the module housing (7) is allocated to the mating plug-in connectors (25, 26) respectively. Moreover, the plug-in connectors (31) are provided with an essentially cylindrical outer sleeve (36) respectively. An O-shaped sealing ring (38) is arranged on the circumference of said sleeve. Said ring being under pressure rests on the wall (20) of the duct (19) when the plug-in connector (31) is plugged in.
