  • Patent number: 8317225
Abstract: A semi-trailer landing gear, in particular to support trailers, with a support element which includes an outer sleeve and an inner sleeve and which can be displaced in a telescopic manner in relation to the height. The outer sleeve includes a securing flange which can be applied to a vehicle. The aim of the invention is to develop a semi-trailer landing gear which is economical to produce and can also withstand high loads. The aim is achieved by virtue of the fact that the outer sleeve and the securing flange are made of a single piece of flat steel by edge rolling.

  • Patent number: 8157247
Abstract: A support jack for supporting semitrailers including a vertically telescopically displaceable supporting device having an outer sleeve and an inner sleeve. A spindle nut has projections and contact elements for being positively detachably connected to the sleeves. The projections interact with openings of the inner sleeve for fixing the spindle nut in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the support jack. The contact elements interact with an inner side of the outer sleeve for fixing the spindle nut in the direction of rotation about the longitudinal axis. A method of assembling a support jack is also described, in which the spindle nut is connected detachably to the inner sleeve by at least one translatory and one rotary joining movement or at least two translatory joining movements.

  • Patent number: 8096529
Abstract: A semitrailer landing gear, particularly for supporting trailers, including a supporting element, which can be telescopically displaced in the height thereof and which has an outer sleeve and an inner sleeve, the outer sleeve having a fastening flange for placing on a vehicle. The aim of the invention is to develop semitrailer landing gears with a reduced weight as well as with favorable manufacturing costs. To this end, the invention provides that at least one lateral wall of the outer sleeve and/or of the inner sleeve is provided with an angled wall section extending in an axial direction.

  • Patent number: 7451684
Abstract: An actuator or servo device comprises an actuator member adapted to move linearly in the motion space of an actuator housing, a microwave position detecting device for detecting the position of the actuator member in the motion space, the actuator member being capable of producing a pressure wave acting on the position detecting device on approaching the position detecting device and a high frequency microwave antenna arrangement for emitting and receiving microwaves, which are at least partially reflected by the actuator member. The actuator device includes dielectric guard cover means, arranged in front of the microwave antenna arrangement. For mechanically uncoupling the guard cover means from the microwave antenna arrangement between the guard cover means and the microwave antenna arrangement a clearance is maintained to allow deformation of the guard cover means thereinto owing to pressure waves.

  • Patent number: 7428949
Abstract: The invention describes an arrangement of lubricating grease inside the housing of a gear unit with rotatable components, particularly the gear unit of a jack. It also describes a grease pouch for receiving lubricating grease and a method for lubricating the gear unit with lubricating grease. Since the gear units are often not transported in their installed position, oil that has separated from the lubricating grease may leak from any gearbox openings. Thus, one of the objects of the invention was to provide an arrangement of lubricating grease in the housing of a gear unit, which on the one hand provides lubrication of the gear unit so that it is ready for operation in its delivery condition and on the other hand effectively prevents the oil separated from the lubricating grease from leaking prior to initial startup. This object is attained by enclosing the lubricating grease within at least one grease pouch prior to initial startup of the gear unit.

  • Patent number: 7322272
Abstract: A piston for a fluid operated power cylinder has two mutually coaxial sealing lips axially extending away from each other and being able to radially yield, for sealing engagement with the piston running face of the power cylinder and adjacent to at least one piston end side an elastic buffer body serving for shock absorbing in the end of stroke position of the piston, said body having an impact face facing away from the piston. At least at one piston end face the sealing lip itself constitutes the buffer body and has the impact face at its end, groove-like recesses being formed on the inner periphery of the sealing lip with a distribution in the peripheral direction, such recesses opening toward said impact face.

  • Patent number: 7284473
Abstract: An attachment element (12) for the selective pivotal and/or fixed bearing of a power cylinder, comprising a base region (33) having attachment means (45) for its attachment on a support structure (35) and from which two attachment arms (32) extend opposite each other with a distance between them, the attachment arms (32) being provided with bearing means (29) for a pivotal bearing engagement on oppositely placed sides of the outer periphery of the power cylinder (10). The base section (33) is designed with bearing means (41) for any additional terminal interlocking bearing engagement with the power cylinder (10) as may be required. Furthermore a cylinder end cap is proposed matching the attachment element (12).

  • Patent number: 7128340
Abstract: A support device for semi-trailers including a leg which has a receiving device, on its lower end. The support leg has a base element with a base plate, whereby the base element is fastened to the base receiving device by a fixing device. The base element is connected by a pivot bearing device with the support leg, whereby the pivot bearing device is located below the damping element. The compression of the damping element is therefore fully decoupled from the pivoting movement of the base element.

  • Patent number: 6846016
Abstract: A landing gear assembly for a semitrailer includes a pair of legs that may be simultaneously raised or lowered by turning a single crank. Each of the legs is configured to be able to be mounted in either an inboard or outboard configuration. This is achieved by providing both sides of each leg with no protrusions that extend beyond the space provided in the mounting bracket and the mounting hole used to connect the landing gear to the semitrailer. The gear assembly of the landing gear includes a unique floor base that receives and supports the input shaft. A cover is used to support the input ends of the input shaft and the output shaft. The cover is connected to the input side of the upper tube of the leg and allows the gear assembly to be easily assembled within the perimeter of the upper leg.
