Patent number: 9466034Abstract: Embodiments for determining an optimal configuration for a renewable energy power plant are provided. The power plant, which may be a virtual power plant, includes one or more generator devices and one or more energy storage devices that may be operated to undertake one or more operating applications. Data indicative of the power output of the power plant and the voltage level at the energy storage system connection point is received as an input. Using this data, combinations of energy storage devices and operating applications stored on a database are processed and, for each energy storage and operating application pair, a value indicative of the profitability of undertaking the operating application is determined. These values are used to rank the combinations of energy storage devices and operating applications according to their profitability, which in turn is used to select the most efficient or profitable application/energy storage pair.Type: GrantFiled: April 30, 2012Date of Patent: October 11, 2016Assignee: Vestas Wind Systems A/SInventors: Daniel Viassolo, Sridhar Sahukari, Gerald Murphy, Bo Hesselbæk, Jianhui Zhang, Aditya Upadhye, Yonatan Abebe, Jason Hoffman, Juan Santos, Brett Rollow

Patent number: 7573695Abstract: An architecture and method are provided for preventing snapdown in a voltage controlled MEMS device having a movable actuator with an actuator electrode coupled to a high voltage power supply (HVPS) through a drive circuit, the movable actuator suspended over a cavity electrode formed on a substrate and coupled to a common backplane supply (VssC). Generally, the circuit includes a number of first diodes coupled between the HVPS and the actuator electrode and/or the cavity electrode to provide a forward-biased path to transfer a positive charge to the HVPS when the accumulated charge exceeds a predetermined threshold. Preferably, the drive circuit further includes second diodes to provide a low impedance path to transfer a positives charge from the actuator electrode and/or the cavity electrode to a substrate ground when the accumulated charge results in or exceeds a predetermined threshold voltage. Other embodiments are also disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: October 26, 2007Date of Patent: August 11, 2009Assignee: Silicon Light Machines CorporationInventors: Andrew Walker, Marc Hartranft, Michael J. Publication number: 20070128671Abstract: The present invention relates to monoclonal antibodies that bind to the extracellular domain of prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA), hybridoma cell lines producing the antibodies, and methods of using such antibodies for diagnosis and treatment of cancer. In particular, thirty-five monoclonal antibodies reactive with PSMA expressed on the cell surface are exemplified. Additionally, the present invention relates to a novel protein variant (PSM?) of PSMA detected by a number of the antibodies of the invention. The hydrolase activity of PSMA and PSM? allows the use of an immunoenzymatic assay for their detection.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 9, 2005Publication date: June 7, 2007Applicant: Medarex, Inc.Inventors: Gerald Murphy, Alton Boynton, Eric Holmes, William Tino

Publication number: 20070119881Abstract: An apparel accessory holder is described. An elongated panel is suspended by a hook from a standard support rod. One side of the panel contains a series of hook and loop locking pads for securing heavy and bulky items such as handbags, while the opposite side contains a series of gentle magnetic locking pads for delicate, amorphous items such as scarves. The hook connection permits swiveling the panel left and right or up and down 360°. Written indicia guide the user to recommended storage procedures; and making one side softer to the touch provides an additional sensory direction to the user. The holder provides added convenience for apparel accessory storage and retrieval within the home, and for a variety of merchandise displays.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 26, 2007Publication date: May 31, 2007Inventor: Gerald Murphy
