  • Patent number: 9466034
Abstract: Embodiments for determining an optimal configuration for a renewable energy power plant are provided. The power plant, which may be a virtual power plant, includes one or more generator devices and one or more energy storage devices that may be operated to undertake one or more operating applications. Data indicative of the power output of the power plant and the voltage level at the energy storage system connection point is received as an input. Using this data, combinations of energy storage devices and operating applications stored on a database are processed and, for each energy storage and operating application pair, a value indicative of the profitability of undertaking the operating application is determined. These values are used to rank the combinations of energy storage devices and operating applications according to their profitability, which in turn is used to select the most efficient or profitable application/energy storage pair.

  • Publication number: 20070119881
Abstract: An apparel accessory holder is described. An elongated panel is suspended by a hook from a standard support rod. One side of the panel contains a series of hook and loop locking pads for securing heavy and bulky items such as handbags, while the opposite side contains a series of gentle magnetic locking pads for delicate, amorphous items such as scarves. The hook connection permits swiveling the panel left and right or up and down 360°. Written indicia guide the user to recommended storage procedures; and making one side softer to the touch provides an additional sensory direction to the user. The holder provides added convenience for apparel accessory storage and retrieval within the home, and for a variety of merchandise displays.

  • Patent number: 6414509
Abstract: A method of testing semiconductor chips is disclosed. The individual semiconductor chips have I/O, power, and ground contacts. In the method of the invention a chip carrier is provided. The chip carrier has contacts corresponding to the contacts on the semiconductor chip. The carrier contacts have dendritic surfaces. The chip contacts are brought into conductive contact with the conductor pads on the chip carrier. Test signal input vectors are applied to the inputs of the semiconductor chip, and output signal vectors are recovered from the semiconductor chip. After testing, the chip may be removed from the substrate. Alternatively, the chip may be bonded through the dendritic conductor pads to the substrate after successful testing.
