    Abstract: A battery retaining system for a children's ride-on vehicle. The system includes a retaining member that is selectively movable between a first or nominal position in which the retaining member blocks removal of a battery assembly from the body of the vehicle, and a second position in which the retaining member does not block removal of the battery assembly. The battery retaining system also includes a biasing member coupled to the retaining member and configured to urge the retaining member from the second position toward the first position. In some embodiments, the battery retaining system is further adapted to retain portions of the vehicle other than the battery assembly.

    Abstract: A child support device is disclosed that can be converted between a highchair configuration and a swing configuration. The support device includes a frame from which a U-shaped swing arm is rotatably mounted. A child seat is located on the U-shaped arm such that it can be slid between a distal position at the bottom of the U-shaped swing arm (swing configuration) and a proximal position at the upper ends of the U-shaped swing arm (highchair configuration). When in the highchair configuration, a swing lock can be provided to rotatably lock the U-shaped swing arm with respect to the frame such that the seat cannot swing. The swing lock can include a retractable post that can be extended to contact a portion of the frame to prevent rotation of the swing arm. An over rotation stop can also be provided to limit the angle of rotation through which the seat swings when in the swing configuration, and to work in conjunction with the retractable post to lock the swing arm in place when in the highchair configuration.

    Abstract: A seat recline mechanism for an infant swing is shown that provides adjustment of the inclination of the seat with respect to a single swing arm. The seat recline mechanism includes a pivot pin that is mounted in the lower end of the swing arm. The seat is pivotally mounted on the swing arm by the pivot pin. The seat can be secured in the reclined or upright position by spring-biased locking pins or protrusions extending out from sides of the swing arm, with the locking pins snapping into apertures located in one of two or more angular positions on a U-shaped sleeve protruding from the seat back. The seat can be converted between an upright position and an inclined position by depressing the spring-biased locking pins or buttons in order to disengage the swing arm from one angular position relative to the seat, thus allowing the seat to rotate about its pivot axis relative to the swing arm until the spring-biased buttons snap into apertures corresponding to a different angular position.

    Abstract: A battery powered walk behind floor burnishing unit (10). The unit includes a main frame (12) supported by wheel means (18, 20, 36), the main frame being capable of supporting a plurality of batteries (14). At least one of the wheels (18) may be driven. A burnisher subassembly (22) is mounted on the rear of the frame by a mounting assembly for movement through an from a raised inoperative position through an intermediate ready position to a lowered operative position. The burnisher subassembly includes a drive head (80) and a rotatable drive block (94), the drive block being capable of being rotated by a motor (24) mounted on the drive head. The mounting assembly includes two pairs of parallel links (126, 128) and biasing means (140, 142) which normally biases the subassembly (22) to the raised inoperative position. A vacuum apparatus includes an open cell burnishing pad (114) carried by the burnisher subassembly.
