  • Publication number: 20010027282
Abstract: A pain-addressing therapy garment in the form of a wrappable body-expanse which can be fastened to a user's body to apply different selectable levels of compression to the body. A heat generator in the body expanse is activatable to apply heat during use of the garment, and a substance-infused dispenser swathe, also attached to the body expanse, responds to heat to deliver heated moisture (liquid and/or vapor) to the user's body.

  • Patent number: 6184791
Abstract: A multi-stage vehicle safety warning and action system which monitors a driver's head position as an indication about whether that driver is nominally in proper control of the vehicle. The system features a laser-beam source which is worn on a driver's head and which is generally aimed toward a system light-sensitive structure. The point of impingement of the beam from the source relative to the light-sensitive structure determines the need of the system to give a warning or to take some other form of safety action. Timing is used by the system to differentiate normal driver head movement from abnormal movement.

  • Patent number: 4225965
Abstract: A communication device adapted to be worn on the wrist to alert the wearer to a transmitted message. The device includes a wrist-mountable housing having a bore positioned to be covered by the wearer's wrist, a probe movably mounted in the housing for selective movement through the bore, and a receiver mounted within the housing and adapted to receive a transmitted message and produce a signal in response thereto. Movement of the probe is controlled by a solenoid which, upon such signal occurring, actuates the probe to prod the wearer's wrist.
