Abstract: A liquid fuel injection system with a snubber valve assembly with a low cost, four-part snubber valve mounted within a valve body and in addition in a second embodiment a low cost, two-part fuel pressurizing valve mounted within the valve body upstream of the snubber valve.

Abstract: Designs for variably controlling the maximum quantity of fuel which can be delivered by a pumping stroke of pumping plungers are disclosed. These include combinations of resilient and rigid leaf spring arrangements for controlling the maximum pumping stroke with and without speed responsive control valves or cams, to provide excess fuel for starting and for shaping the maximum fuel delivery curve according to speed.

Abstract: There is disclosed a nozzle having a three-part nozzle body comprising a nozzle holder, a valve guide and a nozzle tip which are positioned and axially aligned by a surrounding retaining nut. Communicating passages for the delivery of fuel to the nozzle tip are provided in the walls of the nozzle body and a pair of locating pins span the mating ends of the three parts thereof to maintain them in angular alignment. The locating pins are of different diameters and are placed in the ends of a single stepped bore of the valve guide. A gland nut surrounding the nozzle holder is provided to mount the nozzle in the bore of an engine and a keeper ring around the nozzle holder engages the outer end of the gland nut to apply an axial extracting force when the gland nut is unscrewed.
