  • Patent number: 4138950
Abstract: Load binder chain attachment points are provided by anchor point assemblies carried on the stepped side sill of a flat bed vehicle. The anchor point assemblies are selectably positionable along the length of the vehicle. The stepped side sill allows the use of conventional removable side panels without interference with the anchor points or binder chains.

  • Patent number: 4010694
Abstract: A load tie-down and anchor system for securing load binding chains or the like to a carrier vehicle such as a flat bed trailer is provided with anchor points which may be selectively positioned. Ways for the anchors are formed of a series of support plates mounted in equally spaced, parallel relation to one another. Each plate has a keyhole shaped slot and each anchor assembly includes an elongated bar slidably received in the larger portion of the slot. The bar is slightly longer than twice the spacing between adjacent support plates. An eye or other attachment member is carried by the bar at a point between one end and the midpoint thereof.

  • Patent number: 3988005
Abstract: In a chain and load binder assembly for securing a load to a vehicle, the load binder is captively connected to the chain to prevent the loss or theft thereof. A grab link having a central opening through which the chain passes freely and a slot extending from the opening and receiving a single link of the chain connects the binder to the chain. One end of the chain is permanently attached to the vehicle and the opposite end has a hook which does not pass through the central opening of the grab link.
