  • Publication number: 20150344277
Abstract: The fork is cut into two pieces by abrasive waterjet. The toe-piece is formed with sidebars which, when the toe-piece is welded into the cover, greatly enhance rigidity of the cover-assembly. The heel-piece carries the load cells. In an option, a peninsula is cut in the heel-piece by waterjet, and the peninsula serves as the flexure-member of the loadcell.

  • Patent number: 8955393
Abstract: For adding a retro-fit load-measuring system to a walkie-type pallet truck etc, the low-profile load cell is formed with a chunky inner-boss and outer-ring. A thin annular disc, to which strain-gauges are cemented, extends between the two. The load-cell is installed in a fork of the truck, the outer-ring engaging a hole in the fork. The fork-cover engages the inner-boss of the load-cell, and is attached thereto with some free play.

  • Patent number: 8957329
Abstract: For minimizing the height of the load-measuring attachment for a lift-truck, the cover is made of thin sheet metal. The side-walls of the channel-section of the cover are folded into double thickness, to stabilize the side-walls of the cover.

  • Publication number: 20110113897
Abstract: For use with cranes or hoists, the traditional shackle-bolt through-hole in the shackle-bar is elongated into a slot. A sub-unit comprising a cell-block, a load-cell, a load-block, and one of the shackle-bolts, is placed in the slot. The load-cell, of suitable size, is housed in a very robust manner, and yet the load capacity of the shackle-bar is unaffected by being so modified.
