Patent number: 10831956Abstract: A system receive as input a circuit design and a description of the behavior of the circuit design specified as assertions. The system generates a model used for verifying that the circuit design satisfies the specified behavior. The system generates an alternating automaton representing the assertions. The alternating automaton may be non-deterministic. The system translates the alternating automaton to a finite state machine (FSM) that may be represented using a representation such as a register transfer level (RTL) representation. The system models existential transitions in the state machine using variables. As a result, the system generates fewer states in the state machine, thereby requiring significantly less memory resources for processing the assertion. The system validates the circuit design using the state machine for further design and manufacture of the circuit.Type: GrantFiled: November 30, 2017Date of Patent: November 10, 2020Assignee: Synopsys, Inc.Inventors: Eduard Cerny, Gerald Taylor

Patent number: 9384198Abstract: An agency management and content management integration system links agency management system domain entities (such as clients, policies, claims, vendors) to content management system content hierarchical structures (such as client files, policy folders, claims folders, vendor files). End users can quickly navigate to the appropriate content management system structure or structures when working with an entity in the agency management system via button integration. The agency management and content management integration system automatically creates and updates the content management system when changes are made to the agency management system. This may include providing multiple mappings between the entities of the insurance agency management system and content hierarchical structures, a preview of changes to the content hierarchical structures, a testing environment to test the content hierarchical structure changes, and troubleshooting logs resulting from testing of the content hierarchical structure.Type: GrantFiled: January 11, 2011Date of Patent: July 5, 2016Assignee: Vertafore, Inc.Inventors: Derrick Brown, Roger Blair, Steven Finch, Igor Wolbers, Gerald Taylor, Aleksey Cherkasov

Patent number: 8935042Abstract: Apparatus (4; 5) for checking the inflation pressure of a tire (3) of a vehicle (2) while the tire is being moved over the apparatus in a direction of travel (A). The apparatus comprises a base (7), a platform (8) which is mounted over the base, a first load sensor system (9) arranged between the platform and the base, and a second load sensor system (12) mounted on an upper surface of the platform and comprising a linear array of high resolution sensors (13, 25) extending across the platform. A data processing unit (6) processes data obtained by sampling the outputs of the first and second sensor system and provides an indication of the inflation pressure of the tire. The data obtained by sampling the output of the first sensor system may be used to determine the total load borne by the platform, and/or the direction of travel of the tire over the platform, and/or the speed of travel of the tire over the platform and/or the tracking angle of the vehicle tire.Type: GrantFiled: June 8, 2010Date of Patent: January 13, 2015Assignee: Wheelright LimitedInventors: Paul Michael Gerald Taylor, David Rathbone

Publication number: 20080273572Abstract: A detector has a thermoelectric sensor and a reactive layer. The thermoelectric sensor is configured to sense heat and to provide an electrical signal based on the sensed heat. The reactive layer is coupled to the thermoelectric sensor and is reactive with an airborne chemical or airborne biological agent of interest. The reaction is exothermic or endothermic. When the airborne agent of interest reacts with the reactive layer, the reaction is detected by the thermoelectric sensor. The electrical signal provides an indication based on the reaction.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 5, 2007Publication date: November 6, 2008Inventors: David Lawrence, W.
