  • Patent number: 9358897
Abstract: An electric motor vehicle with a drive motor, a first rechargeable battery with a first design and a second rechargeable battery with a second design. Electrical energy may be transferred bidirectionally between the drive motor and the first rechargeable battery, and at least unidirectionally from the second rechargeable battery to the drive motor or the first rechargeable battery. The second rechargeable battery in this case includes at least one redox flow cell. Furthermore, a redox flow module is provided with at least one redox flow cell, which includes an electrical coupling for connection to a circuit of a vehicle and a fluid coupling for connection to an electrolyte circuit of said vehicle.

    Inventors: Hermann Pecnik, Gerald Teuschl
  • Patent number: 9186974
Abstract: A drive train of a motor vehicle with an internal combustion engine, an electric motor and a coupling device. The coupling device includes a first coupling unit allocated to the internal combustion engine and a second coupling unit allocated to the electric motor. By way of the coupling device, the internal combustion engine and/or the electric motor can be connected for drive purposes with a common drive shaft to drive at least one wheel of the motor vehicle. The first coupling unit and the second coupling unit are separate components which can be coupled together automatically by a clutch depending on a difference between a rotation speed of the internal combustion engine and a rotation speed of the electric motor.

  • Publication number: 20110202248
Abstract: A method and a control/regulation system for braking a vehicle having a regenerative braking system and a nonregenerative braking system, and a vehicle employing the same. The method includes detecting a position and/or a motion of an accelerator pedal and then determining whether the detected position and/or motion corresponds to a specifiable position or to a specifiable motion which is associated with a deceleration request. The regenerative braking system is correspondingly activated when the result of the check is positive. The nonregenerative braking system is additionally activated for a deceleration request which exceeds a braking capability of the regenerative braking system.
