    Abstract: An automatic switch for turning off the depth finder of a trolling motor by the movement of the trolling motor from the trolling position to the folded, stowed position. The switch may open on the movement of the trolling motor out of the trolling position or into the stowed position. Preferably, the switch is a pushbutton attached to one of the two frame sections of the trolling motor in such a way that the pushbutton is depressed by engagement with the other section when the trolling motor is moved to the stowed position.
