Abstract: A concealed sprinkler assembly includes a sprinkler head having a body defining a nozzle, an arm structure extending from the nozzle and a deflector mounted on the arm assembly opposite the nozzle. A mounting or gauge base is secured to the sprinkler head. The base positions the deflector and head with respect to a ceiling. A cover plate is snapped onto the sprinkler head assembly by a pair of metal clips. The clips are fabricated from a material which returns towards an original prebent configuration upon being exposed to a predetermined ambient temperature thereby releasing the cover plate from the assembly.

An annular, normally concave spring is disposed between the cap and the nozzle. The spring creates a force which throws the link assembly clear of the head upon actuation.

Abstract: A tension control system for a baling machine has a pressure switch connected to the high pressure fluid supply. The switch is operable to actuate when the pressure of the fluid supply exceeds a predetermined level, such as when the baling head ram cylinder is approaching a stalled condition. A solenoid controlled valve is located between the high pressure fluid supply and the fluid cylinder which operates the tension mechanism on the throat portion of the baling machine. The solenoid is operatively connected to the pressure switch to close when the pressure of the fluid supply exceeds to predetermined level. When the valve closes, fluid pressure in the tension cylinder is relieved so that the cylinder operating the baling head does not become stalled. When the baling head is again capable of operation, the pressure switch deactuates, returning the valve to an open condition so that tension is restored to the throat portion of the baling machine.

Abstract: A large drop sprinkler head is disclosed including a nozzle, a pair of arms extending outwardly and upwardly from the nozzle and joined at their ends in coaxial alignment with the nozzle. A concave, plate distributor is supported by the arms coaxially with the nozzle. The plate distributor includes a central, cup-like portion and an outwardly, downwardly directed, annular plate. A large drop deflector is disposed within the cup-like portion of the plate distributor. The large drop deflector includes a plurality of equally spaced tines or fingers which extend downwardly towards the nozzle. The plate distributor defines a shoulder and the tines extend generally perpendicular to the plate distributor and beyond the plane of the shoulder.
