  • Publication number: 20140103016
Abstract: The invention features methods and apparatuses for cutting a section of a pipe having a non-linear longitudinal axis. A mounting structure attaches to a first portion of the pipe. A track is connected to the mounting structure and defines a drive plane. A moveable structure is coupled to the track and configured to move circumferentially along the track. A tool holder is connected to the moveable structure and positions a cutting tool relative to a cutting plane in a second portion of the section of pipe, the cutting plane substantially perpendicular to the non-linear longitudinal axis at a cutting location on the pipe. The mounting structure adjusts to position the track such that the drive plane is parallel to the cutting plane, separated from the cutting plane, substantially non-perpendicular to the non-linear longitudinal axis at the first portion on the pipe.

  • Publication number: 20030027547
Abstract: An improved emergency communications system which provides voice communication between an emergency caller 27 and the 911 emergency response operator 28 through either a base station unit 38 or a wireless remote personal pendant 40. The system has the capability of automatically dialing the emergency phone number and can provide verification of system initialization by the use 1-800 phone numbers without the need of contacting 911 emergency operators 28. The system includes a wireless pendent 40 with automatic dialing call and voice capability that is in radio frequency communication with a base unit 38, wherein the base unit 38 can have automatic dialing call and voice capability to communicate over existing phone lines 29 to the 911 emergency response operator 28.
