  • Publication number: 20100173991
Abstract: The aim of the invention to provide a less complex method for the production of A-ring aromatized acetyl minocyclines of the formula (I), wherein R1 to R5=acetyl and/or H, which can also be used on an industrial scale, is achieved in that minocycline hydrochloride is reacted with acetanhydride in the presence of a proton catcher, the reaction product is subjected to chromatographic filtration using a carrier material and an eluant, the eluant is distilled off, and the product is subsequently cleaned by recrystallization.

  • Publication number: 20050265923
Abstract: The invention provides a method of embolus therapy comprising administering into the vasculature of a perfused zone of tissue in a human or non-human animal subject a composition comprising particles of a size or formulation selected to generate emboli at a target site within said subject, characterised in that as said particles are used solid water-insoluble particles of a non-radioactive diagnostically effective compound or vesicles encapsulating a non-radioactive diagnostically effective compound or a solution thereof, and in that embolus location is detected by a diagnostic imaging technique.

  • Publication number: 20050065184
Abstract: A method for ascertaining whether a subject has oxidative stress; evaluating the level of oxidative stress in a subject; reducing the risk of an adverse event, especially an adverse cardiovascular event, resulting from oxidative stress; treating oxidative stress; and evaluating the efficacy of treatment with at least one pharmaceutical composition for reducing oxidative stress is provided.

  • Patent number: 5496536
Abstract: Injectable contrast agents of great clinical importance for lymphography, characterized by non-water soluble particle sizes between about 5 or 10 nm and about 500 or 900 nm, which have selective distribution to lymph nodes upon percutaneous administration and can be imaged with millimeter resolution. Also disclosed are methods for performing percutaneous lymphography using these contrast agents.
