Abstract: Bonding intermediate between two textiles each having a coating layer of silicone-based polymer, the said intermediate comprising a composition based on a non-crosslinked silicone elastomer, and a release film positioned on a first side of the said intermediate, characterized in that it has the shape of a planar rectilinear section of a strip based on the said non-crosslinked silicone elastomer, and in that it comprises a translucent film provided on the second side of the strip.

Abstract: Architectural silicone membranes prepared by impregnating an architectural fabric, such as fiberglass, with an elastomeric silicone composition especially of type RTV-2 which vulcanizes by hydrosilylation (polyaddition). A method for impregnating fibrous materials with a liquid silicone composition containing 100 percent silicone RTV-2, which includes Ii) an elastomeric crosslinkable liquid silicone composition including (a) a vinyl polyorganosiloxane (POS), (b) at least one hydrogenated POS, and (c) a platinum catalyst, is applied to a fibrous material; IIi) cross-linking is done; III) optionally, at least one other sequence which includes steps Ii) and IIi) (I representing a positive whole number) as defined above in steps Ii and IIi is performed. The fibrous material is fully impregnated with the liquid silicone composition defined above, which is fluid and obtained without being diluted, solubilized, or emulsified.

Abstract: A method for production of silicone membranes for architectural use which includes: depositing at least one layer of a polyorganosiloxane (POS) emulsion on an architectural textile, followed by crosslinking by polyaddition to give an elastomer such that the weight proportion of the coating as a proportion of the dry weight of the architectural textile is less than 0.2. The (POS) emulsion includes: (A) a POS with ?SiVinyl groups, (B) a POS with ?SiH groups, (C) a special adherence promoter (polyvinyl alcohol) or POS(OH), (D) a catalyst, (E) at least one surface active agent, (F) optionally a POS resin with ?SiVinyl groups, (G) optionally a crosslinking inhibitor, (H) optionally a pH stabilizing agent, (I) optionally a formulation additive, (J) optionally a filler and (K) water, such that the percentage by weight of adhesion promoter (C) with respect to the silicone phase is from 0.005 to 10%.
