  • Publication number: 20080237437
Abstract: The invention concerns mechanical retaining contacts (10) applied on a workpiece (4) placed on a substrate (1) by a double actuating mechanism (11, 42) which closes the circle of contacts (10) before lowering them onto the surface of the workpiece (4), thus ensuring a proper uniform contact. The contacts (10) may provide an electrical potential. The invention is applicable to electrolytic coating.

  • Patent number: 7361256
Abstract: An electrolytic reactor including a conical recess of removable slices through which the electrolyte circulates towards a part to be coated under the action of a pump setting up forced circulation. The part is polarized to act as a cathode, facing a coaxial anode in the recess. This configuration leads to good electrolyte flow in front of the part, allowing accelerated deposit with a uniform thickness of the coating material, and dimensions of the chamber may be added.

  • Publication number: 20080050561
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a component with a first face of a plate-shaped structure involving the following steps: engraving a second face of the structure, which is opposite the first face, on a portion of its surface in order to define an area of reduced thickness, and; inclining the area of reduced thickness with regard to said structure. A component of this type has a recess between the plate-shaped structure and the inclined area of reduced thickness. The inclined area can support active elements that function according to a direction defined by the inclination.

  • Patent number: 6555294
Abstract: A process for collectively making integrated magnetic heads with a bearing surface obtained by photolithography. According to the process, on a wafer is deposited a plurality of heads, a mask defining the profile of the bearing surfaces and the wafer is collectively engraved in the vicinity of the pole pieces of the heads. Such a process may find particular application to the making of magnetic heads.

  • Patent number: 6333470
Abstract: An assembly including a magnetic head for recording information using a chip based assembly. The assembly includes a chip mounted on a base where a printed circuit with conducting tracks underneath is passed through the base to come into contact with the chips's connection studs. Also disclosed is the process for the manufacture of chip based assemblies.

  • Patent number: 5842269
Abstract: A process for producing a double magnetic head with two head gaps with opposite azimuths by forming a first magnetic head with a first head gap having a predetermined inclination angle on a first substrate and a second magnetic head having a second head gap with a second inclination angle on a second substrate and etching a first recess along the first head. The second head is received in the first recess and a second recess is etched along the second head to receive the first head. Subsequently, one of the heads is reversed and the first head is fitted into the second recess and the second head into the first recess so that the first and second inclination angles are opposed in a common reference frame thereby providing opposite azimuth angles.

  • Patent number: 5748408
Abstract: A flight slider for magnetic recording. The slider according to the invention has at least one indentation to the rear of the relief or reliefs and the slider has utility for magnetic recording. The slider includes a support structure and at least one rail carried by the support structure, the rail defining a face which faces toward the recording medium, the rail having a front part and a rear part relative to the direction of motion of a moving recording medium. The head is located at the rear part of the at least one rail and the at least one rail has an indentation around its entire periphery.
