  • Patent number: 6431894
Abstract: A connector (1) provided with at least one power contact (10) for powering at least one contact to be powered (11), situated in the proximity of the power contact, through a socket (18) sliding along the contact to be powered to establish or not a conductive connection with a conductive surface (17) of the power contact. such a connector typically comprises several contacts to be powered and several power contacts. Hence, an equilateral and equidistant arrangement of contacts to be powered around power contacts is preferred.

  • Patent number: 6386887
Abstract: A connector (1) is provided with configurable contacts (3) such that the contacts can be connected to each other via a printed circuit (16) comprising strip conductors (20) which connect conductive feed-throughs (19) of said printed circuit. For each contact of the connector, a sliding contact (26) which can be displaced between two positions can be connected or not connected to the contact to which it is opposite. The sliding contacts can be maintained between two stable positions via an insulating grommet (37). In a sunken position, the sliding contacts comprise a conductive end which is in contact with a conductive feed-through of the printed circuit and which is in contact with the contact 3. In a withdrawn position, the sliding contact is only in contact with the conductor opening.

  • Patent number: 6250961
Abstract: In order to create a hermetic connection assembly (1, 2) with a female insert (2), the insert provided with double-female (5, 27) receptacles (4) is placed on a hermetic male connector (1). In order to assure a good electrical connection, clips or sockets (7, 26), preferably truncated, are positioned inside the receptacles, taking support and assuring an electrical contact, on the one hand, with an inner wall of a receptacle and on the other hand, with an outer wall of a pin (8) when such a pin is inserted in the receptacle.

  • Patent number: 5462447
Abstract: An electrical connector has a base having two mutually parallel side walls and a plug displaceable parallel to the side walls of the base in an insertion and extraction direction and having outwardly projecting studs, orthogonal to the direction of insertion and located in a zone which remains outside the base in a fully-inserted position. It further comprises a bracket for forcibly inserting and extracting the plug into and out of the base, having branches slidable along the side walls orthogonal to the insertion and extraction direction. The branches are formed with stud receiving passages of such a shape that displacement of the bracket causes the studs to move farther into and along said passages from open ends thereof, or expels the studs from the passages, depending on the direction of displacement. The plug further has resilient latching tabs located to engage behind the bracket when the plug is fully inserted, thereby resiliently retaining the plug.

  • Patent number: 5399096
Abstract: The electrical connector is connectable to a matching connector and has a body for receiving contacts that carries a threaded rotary locking nut for cooperation with a threaded portion of the matching connector. The nut is fast with internal ratchet teeth having edges each separating a face with a lower slope from a face with a steeper slope relative to a circumferential direction. The body of the connector is non-rotatably connected to a one-piece ring having teeth cooperating with notches formed by the ratchet teeth to establish a ratchet effect that opposes rotation of the ring in an unscrewing direction in which the teeth abut the steeper faces.

  • Patent number: 5397196
Abstract: A connector system comprises a socket having at least one locking pin and a plug comprising a plug body and a locking ring having at least one slot along which the pin can move and an elastic member disposed at one end of the slot defining a first area in which the slot tapers and a second area in which the pin is selectively lodged. The aforementioned one end of the slot terminates at an abutment. The second area is wider than the pin and the first area so that the elastic member is retracted elastically when the pin enters the first area and returns to its initial position without being compressed by the pin when the pin is in the second area near the abutment. The elastic member of the connector system is a cantilever beam having a notch at its free end.
