  • Patent number: 11866218
Abstract: A safety lifting device for positioning a labelling unit in a vertical direction (Z) in relation to a flow of objects where the labelling unit is arranged for printing labels and/or applying labels to the objects. The lifting device includes a linear actuator, a balancing unit, a drive unit connected to the linear actuator, and a movable section. The labelling unit is connected to the movable section. The linear actuator is connected to the movable section and arranged to control the position of the labelling unit. The balancing unit is arranged to counterbalance the gravitational force exerted on the linear actuator. The movable section of the lifting device includes an upper stand unit, and the lifting device further includes a lower stand unit. The upper stand unit is movably arranged in relation to the lower stand unit in the vertical direction.

  • Patent number: 11524811
Abstract: A system for printing and applying labels to a flow of objects, including a labelling unit, an object transporting device, an object detection sensor, and a control unit, wherein the labelling unit comprises a label printing unit for printing labels to be applied to the objects, wherein the object transporting device is transporting individual objects in a random flow to the labelling unit in an object transporting direction, wherein the object detection sensor is arranged upstream the labelling unit and is detecting a position of the objects when they are transported past the object detection sensor towards the labelling unit, wherein two directly after each other transported objects arranged on the object transporting device are separated by a separation distance, wherein the separation distance is calculated by the control unit based on position detection by the object detection sensor of reference points between a preceding object and a directly subsequent object being transported on the object transporti

  • Patent number: 10899489
Abstract: A method and an arrangement to apply labels on marking objects which are transported on a track. By only two swinging arms, the output printed label is transported away from the label printer, in a first direction of travel, so that the adhesive side of the label is facing the first direction of travel of the label applicator plate, and in an opposite second direction of travel, so that the printed side of the printed label is faces the second direction of travel of the label applicator plate. Continued motion actuation of the label applicator plate by turning the swinging arm carrying the applicator plate and, where appropriate, rotation of the applicator plate provides transportation of the label to and delivery of the label at and application of the label on the marking object with the adhesive side of the label facing the marking object.

  • Publication number: 20110000620
Abstract: The invention relates to a device (1) of a machine (2) for outputting self-adhesive labels (3) from a reel (4), and that comprises a write head (5), as well as drive means for a label web (7), with the write head (5) movably mounted for widening a formed gap (8) through the machine (2) for pulling the label web (7) between the write head (5) and a drive platen (9) to a reeling reel. A sensor (11) formed of a transmitter (12) and a receiver (13) is arranged to sense inter-spaces at labels carried consecutively on the label web (7) by sensing the thickness differences of the label web (7) and of the labels (3) thereof carried on a bottom paper web. According to the invention, the sensor (11) is partible (12, 13).

  • Publication number: 20060249240
Abstract: A system, method and computer program for removing faulty RFID tagged labels from a label applicator system wherein a RFID testing device detects faulty RFID tag whereby a tension on a label backing paper is reduced so as to increase a radius at a position of transferal of the labels from the label backing paper to a label applicator head. The increase in radius has the effect that the label is not transferred to the label applicator head but instead remains on the backing paper and thus will not be applied to a object to be labeled.
