    Abstract: A system and method for interactive healing of a patient. A method of configuring a room of a long-term patient to promote patient comprises providing a remote display. The remote display is portable and is removably coupled to a swing arm accessible by the patient on a patient bed. The remote display is configured to control each of a wall display, a lighting system, an audio system, a room shading system, an environmental control system, a microphone, and a camera. Each of the microphone and camera are separate from the remote display and are accessible by the patient on the patient bed. The method includes configuring the wall display on a wall of the room. The wall display has a navigation display and a plurality of content displays. The remote display is usable to select content for display on at least one of the plurality of content displays.

The method comprises obtaining an input from the patient, and in response to the input, representing on the at least one display a relationship, characterized over a time period, between the subjective parameters and the objective parameters selected by the patient. The method comprises shifting presentation of content from one of the plurality of output devices to another of the plurality of output devices based on a proximity of the patient detected by the at least one sensor.
