Abstract: A method of providing a sender of a package with: (i) a calculated delivery time if the package is sent through the USPS mail stream, and (ii) a calculated delivery cost savings by sending the package by USPS mail as compared to sending the package by private courier; calculating an expected delivery time if the package is sent by USPS mail based; providing the sender with the expected delivery time; determining a cost of sending the package by USPS mail; determining a cost of sending the package by private courier; calculating a cost savings by sending the package by USPS mail as compared to sending the package by private courier; and providing the sender with the calculated cost savings. Thus, a real-time analysis of various senders' true delivery experience empowers users to switch to a more economical model.

Abstract: A multi-part mailing form has two superimposed sheets of material such as paper stock which are secured together in adhered areas by an adhesive layer between the sheets. The inner face of a lower sheet is coated with a non-adhesive material in certain areas so that the sheets are not adhered in these areas. The coated areas of the lower sheet correspond to detachable areas of the upper sheet which can be detached and secured to an item to be mailed. Sections of the form are separable from one another by cutting or by means of tear lines. One of the separable sections has imprinted indicia on the outer face of each sheet and includes a return postcard for confirming receipt of a mailed item.

Abstract: A continuous mailing form includes one or more sheets of individual form parts secured together along spaced transverse tear lines. The or each sheet has a designated addressee area on each form part, and, where there is more than one sheet, the sheets are secured together with the addressee areas in registry. One of the sheets has a predetermined detachable area comprising a return postcard. A blow-on label is detachably secured to the addressee area on each form part of one of the sheets, for receiving address information and reproducing it on the underlying addressee area of the underlying sheet or sheets. The label can be peeled off and attached to an item to be mailed along with the return postcard.

Abstract: An automated system for mail preparation and record keeping includes a data processor having a memory for storing program instructions and data including postage fees for different types of mailing, and a printer connected to a supply of continuous mailing forms which are separable along transverse tear lines and which conform to postal requirements for at least one type of tracked mailing. The processor is programmed to receive and store a list of names and addresses to which items are to be mailed, to compute the postage fees, and to print the names and addresses successively in designated addressee areas on successive forms in the form supply. The processor also keeps a record for each prepared form of the addressee, an article number provided on the form, and the postage fee.

Abstract: A multi-part mailer form assembly comprises a series of superimposed continuous sheets each having spaced transverse tear lines for separating the sheets into individual multi-part forms. Opposite marginal edges of the assembly have superimposed pin feed perforations and the sheets are adhesively secured together along one marginal side edge and are separable from each other by means of tear lines. The front sheet is of paper and the rear sheet is of card and the intermediate sheets include at least one paper sheet with copy producing layers or means provided for reproducing information imprinted on the front sheet on the paper and card sheets. The sheets each have a designated address area in registry with corresponding designated address areas on all the other sheets.
