  • Publication number: 20230258064
Abstract: A system and method for a frac pump. The system includes a turbine. The turbine can be 100% powered by natural gas or other fuels. The turbine, which can have an OEM controller, drives a frac pump. The frac pump is used for fracturing. The system has a controller which controls the system, including the OEM controller. The system has an air filtration system to treat the air entering the turbine. The air filtration system can include a system with no moving parts and no filters. • Patent number: 6980065
Abstract: A low nosie block (LNB) system is described which facilitates the mount of printed circuit board (PCBs) with probes attached to an LNB housing. The LNB housing has, in a preferred arrangement, two keyhole-shaped apertures located in the back wall of the waveguide for receiving the probes already mounted to the PCB. The apertures are dimensioned and proportioned to lie on either side of a waveguide septum and to allow probes, when coupled to a printed circuit board, to be inserted through the respective apertures for correct orientation within the waveguide once the printed circuit board is secured to the housing and to allow minimal transmission of electromagnetic radiation through the apertures other than by a transmission line formed by the probes.

  • Patent number: 6831612
Abstract: The present invention relates to antenna feeds (10, 30, 70, 78, 94) for use in linear or circularly polarised systems. In one embodiment of the invention, a cross-type antenna feed (30) comprises a cylindrical metal waveguide housing (12) and a cross-type metal feed body (32) coupled to the front of the waveguide housing (12). The feed body (32) has four peripherally spaced corrugated arm portions (34) arranged in a mutually orthogonal relationship, where the arm portions (34) extend radially outwardly from a longitudinal axis (16) of the feed body (32). Ridges (36) on each arm portion (34) are arranged concentrically around the axis (16) and parallel thereto, with successive ridges spaced from the axis (16) in a tiered arrangement. In another embodiment the antenna feed is a dielectric lens. The antenna feed is used in an antenna system having a reflector antenna in addition or in a low noise block (LNB) receiver.

  • Patent number: 6720932
Abstract: A multi-frequency antenna feed for incorporation into a single unit which combines at least two waveguides to provide simultaneous reception and/or transmission of signals in at least two separate frequency bands is described. This is achieved by creating a waveguide system of at least two waveguides sharing the same central axis; a central conventional waveguide which also acts as a center conductor for an outer coaxial waveguide and feeding the outer coaxial waveguide from a non-circular side feed, orthogonal to the waveguide axis, to set up a uniform field in the outer coaxial waveguide. The feeds are adjusted so that the phase center for each frequency band is at the same point in the feed for the same dish. Various embodiments of the invention are described.

  • Patent number: 5619173
Abstract: A dual polarisation waveguide probe system for use with a satellite dish (10) for receiving satellite signals orthogonally polarised in the same frequency band and for providing improved isolation between these polarised satellite signals is disclosed. The probe system has a waveguide (28) incorporated in a low-noise block receiver (12) into which two probes (34, 38) are located for receiving linearly polarised energy of both orthogonal senses. The probes (34, 38) are located in the same longitudinal plane on opposite sides of a single cylindrical bar reflector (36) which reflects one sense of polarisation and passes the orthogonal signal with minimal insertion loss, and then reflects the rotated orthogonal signal. The probes (34, 38) are spaced .lambda./4 from the reflector (36). A reflection rotator (44) is also formed using a thin plate which is orientated at 45.degree. to the incident linear polarisation with a short circuit (46) spaced approximately a quarter wavelength (.lambda.

  • Patent number: 4959873
Abstract: A transmission line switch allows a single output line (3) to be switched to one of two or more input lines (1,2) to which it is permanently connected at a common junction (4). Each input line (1,2) has an associated amplifier stage (10) which can be biased in a normal high gain (`on`) state, or in an isolation (`off`) state. Suitable biasing in the `off` state ensures that the amplifier stage output presents a low impedance to its own input line, the length (L) of which is chosen to reflect a high impedance at the junction (4) with the other lines. Correct design enables the return loss and insertion loss of the `on` path to be kept to low values while simultaneously offering a high insertion loss to the `off` path signals.
