  • Patent number: 6699204
Abstract: The invention concerns a device for analysing medical sounds, in particular respiratory sounds, comprising an input receiving a sound signal sampled in intensity levels each associated with a selected time, and storage means (2, 4, 5) comprising a processing module for evaluating, in cooperation with computing means (3), a set of transformed intensity levels, each associated with a predetermined sound frequency. It further comprises an output (26) connected to the storage means (2) for delivering each transformed intensity level in correspondence with an associated frequency, and means for representing (6, 90, 91) intensity levels transformed on the basis of frequencies, to obtain a spectral representation of the auscultation sound.

  • Publication number: 20040014675
Abstract: The invention concerns a novel approach for treating cystic fibrosis using, in particular, anti-cancer chemotherapy. For the treatment of cystic fibrosis it proposes the use of at least one product which when administered to a patient brings about the expression or overexpression of an ABC carrier compound, in particular glutathione carrier. Preferably, the products used are anti-cancer products whose administration brings about the expression of MRP and/or MDR protein. The invention is also applicable to the treatment of rheumatoid polyarthritis or asthma.
    Type: Application
    Filed: March 6, 2003
    Publication date: January 22, 2004
Inventors: Veronique Stoven, Gerard Lenoir, Jean-Yves Lallemand, Jean-Philippe Annereau, Joel Barthe, Sylvain Blanquet
