Abstract: Compounds of the formula: ##STR1## in which R.sub.1 is C.sub.1-6 alkyl, phenyl, C.sub.3-6 cycloalkyl, phenylalkyl, cycloalkyl-alkyl or ##STR2## R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 being H or alkyl, R.sub.5 being alkenyl or alkynyl, and the sum of the carbon atoms in R.sub.3, R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 being 2 to 5, R.sub.2 is as defined for R.sub.1 and may also represent ##STR3## in which n is 0, 1, 2 or 3, it also being possible for R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 to form, with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached, a 5-, 6- or 7-membered heterocyclic radical which can contain another hetero-atom chosen from O and N and which can carry 1 or 2 substituents, Z is phenyl, pyridinyl, thienyl, thiazol-2-yl or substituted phenyl, X and R.sub.0 are H, halogen, C.sub.1-3 alkyl, C.sub.1-3 alkoxy, nitro or CF.sub.3, A represents N or CH and E represents N or CH, some of which are known compounds, are therapeutically useful compounds useful in the treatment of anxiety states or of pulmonary, renal, circulatory or cardiovascular disorders.

Abstract: Compounds of the formula: ##STR1## in which R.sub.1 is C.sub.1-6 alkyl, phenyl, C.sub.3-6 cycloalkyl, phenylalkyl, cycloalkyl-alkyl or ##STR2## R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 being H or alkyl, R.sub.5 being alkenyl or alkynyl, and the sum of the carbon atoms in R.sub.3, R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 being 2 to 5, R.sub.2 is as defined for R.sub.1 and may also represent ##STR3## in which n is 0, 1, 2 or 3, it also being possible for R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 to form, with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached, a 5-, 6- or 7-membered heterocyclic radical which can contain another hetero-atom chosen from O and N and which can carry 1 or 2 substituents, Z is phenyl, pyridinyl, thienyl, thiazol-2-yl or substituted phenyl, X and R.sub.0 are H, halogen, C.sub.1-3 alkyl, C.sub.1-3 alkoxy, nitro or CF.sub.3, A represents N or CH and E represents N or CH, some of which are known compounds, are therapeutically useful compounds useful in the treatment of anxiety states or of pulmonary, renal, circulatory or cardiovascular disorders.

Abstract: Compounds are disclosed as useful as drugs or as intermediates for the manufacture of drugs, the compounds having the formula: ##STR1## in which X is hydrogen, chlorine, alkyl, alkoxy or alkylthio having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, R.sub.2 is hydrogen or alkyl having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, Y.sub.2 is chlorine and Y.sub.1 is chlorine or ##STR2## in which R.sub.1 is hydrogen, straight or branched chain alkyl having 1 to 7 carbon atoms, cycloalkyl having 3 to 7 carbon atoms or cycloalkylalkyl having 4 to 8 carbon atoms, or Y.sub.2 and Y.sub.1 are both OH. Also disclosed are methods for preparation of the compounds.

Abstract: Compounds useful as medicaments, particularly useful as a hypnotic, an anticonvulsant and for the treatment of anxiety states and psychoneurotic states of the formula: ##STR1## in which X is hydrogen, halogen, alkyl containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms, alkoxy containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms or alkylthio containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms, one of the substituents R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 is hydrogen, alkyl containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms, phenyl or phenyl substituted by halogen, alkyl containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms, alkoxy containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms, alkylthio containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms, trifluoromethyl, nitro, unsubstituted amino or amino substituted by one or two alkyl containing 1 to 2 carbon atoms, and the other of the substituents R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 is a group of the formula: ##STR2## in which n is 1, 2 or 3 and R is hydrogen or alkyl containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms.

Abstract: Compounds of general formula: ##STR1## wherein X represents a hydrogen or halogen atom, R represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms and A represents the 1,2,5,6-tetrahydro-4-pyridyl or the 1,2,3,4,5,6-hexahydro-4-pyridyl radical, with the proviso that when A is the 1,2,3,4,5,6-hexahydro-4-pyridyl radical, R is alkyl having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, are disclosed together with methods for their preparation and their use in the treatment of migraines, as antithrombosis agents or as rapid acting thymoanaleptic medicaments.

Abstract: Compounds, which can be used as medicaments, of the formula: ##STR1## in which n is 1, 2 ore 3, X is fixed in position 4, 5, 6 or 7 on the cycle ##STR2## and represents a hydrogen atom or a halogen atom or an alkyl, alkoxy or alkylthio group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, the ##STR3## is fixed in position 2 or 3 on the cycle ##STR4## and the broken line represents a second possible bond, are disclosed for the treatment of states of depression, as analgesics and anti-migraine substances.

Abstract: Pharmaceutical preparations containing as active ingredient a compound having the formula: ##STR1## wherein R represents hydrogen, alkyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms or alkenyl having 2 to 4 carbon atoms; andX represents hydrogen, alkyl, alkoxy or alkylthio, the alkyl groups of each containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms, halogen (chlorine, fluorine, bromine or iodine), trifluoromethyl, nitro, hydroxy, amino or amino substituted by one or two alkyl groups or by acyl or alkylsulphonyl, the alkyl groups of each containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms, which are particularly advantageous for the treatment of pathological states caused by a disturbance in the functioning of the serotoninergical systems in mammals. These preparations may also be used as anxiolytics.

Abstract: A drug useful as antiarhythmic, antidepressant and anxiolytic containing as an active agent a compound of the formula ##STR1## wherein X and Y are the same or different and represent hydrogen or halogen atoms, or 1-4C alkyl groups, 1-4C alkoxy groups, 1-4C alkylthio groups, CF.sub.3, OH, NH.sub.2, 1-4C monoalkylamino or amino groups substituted by a 1-4C alkylsulfonyl group, a 1-5C alkylcarbonyl group or an aroyl group and A is a CO, CHOH or CH.sub.2 group, or a salt of said compound with a pharmaceutically acceptable acid, is disclosed together with methods for the preparation thereof and its use in human therapy.
