  • Patent number: 8272447
Abstract: A borehole network including first and second end surface locations and at least one intermediate surface location interconnected by a subterranean path, and a method for connecting a subterranean path between a first borehole including a directional section and a second borehole including a directional section. A directional drilling component is drilled in at least one of the directional sections to obtain a required proximity between the first and second boreholes. An intersecting component is drilled, utilizing magnetic ranging techniques, from one directional section to provide a borehole intersection between the first and second boreholes, thereby connecting the subterranean path.

  • Patent number: 5996568
Abstract: A method of promoting a product or product brand at a public event that is safe, fun, and very entertaining includes steps of wrapping a product in a wrapper that is designed not to come apart when flying through the air, that is relatively soft and without any hard or sharp edges, and that is flexible, compressible and relatively airtight, placing the product and its wrapper within a tube in a manner such that the compressible, relatively airtight package forms a seal with an inner wall of the tube, and ejecting the product and its wrapper out of the tube and toward an audience by applying a pressurized gas within the tube, whereby the flexible, compressible and relatively airtight wrapper both helps seal the wrapper to the tube in order to make the ejection process efficient, and acts to keep the package together as it travels toward the audience.

  • Patent number: 5932508
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a metal bonded abrasive product such as a saw or drill segment or bead for a diamond wire is provided. The method includes the steps of providing a mixture of the metal, in particulate form, and the abrasive particles, cold pressing the mixture to the desired final shape at a pressure in the range 320 to 1500 MPa to produce a cold pressed product at a temperature in the range 900 to 1300.degree. C. under conditions which inhibit degradation of the abrasive particles and the particulate metal. The product, after free sintering, will generally have a relatively high porosity, for example, a porosity of 10 to 25 percent by volume.
