    Abstract: Coextruded biaxially oriented sealable polyester films having at least one heat-sealable layer and at least one base layer. The heat-sealable layer has a sealing temperature on APET or PETG trays of at least 250° F. (121° C.) for seal strength of at least 1,500 g/in of film width, and a static and dynamic coefficient of friction of 0.28 or less. The heat-sealable layer includes one or more amorphous polyesters and one low melting point crystallizable polyester, such as polybutylene terephthalate (PBT).
