Abstract: Novel cycloalkane-5.dbd.-spiro-hydantoins of formula ##STR1## wherein A is selected from the group consisting of ##STR2## and the remaining substituents are defined below having strong, selective herbicidal activity and novel intermediates and a process for their preparation.
