    Abstract: A grinding body for working surfaces, in particular wood surfaces, has a support part carrying grinding material. The support part is movable relative to the working surface and has suction ducts ending on a working side for vacuuming off the grinding dust by means of an external suction system. For improving the suction performance, the inlets of the suction ducts are arranged in first surface areas of the working side. These areas are recessed inwardly compared with grinding second surface areas of the working side. Thus, each first surface area has the inlet of the suction ducts at the bottom of a recess in the working side.

    Abstract: A grinding tool body of a vibratory grinding or sanding tool has suction inlets at least in recessed areas of its working surface for sucking away the grinding dust by means of an external suction system connectable with the grinding tool body. The grinding element is in the form of a sheet of grinding linen or grinding paper coated on one side with grinding material and having a second side covering the working surface. The sheet serving as the grinding or sanding element has perforated areas coinciding with the recessed areas in the working surface. The grinding element is held in place on the working surface solely by the suction force produced by the suction system. This allows for the simple and quick replacement of worn grinding elements. The grinding material-free back or second surface of the grinding element is roughened. Preferably, for the purpose of producing such a roughening, at least two edges of the sheet are folded over, such edges being disposed opposite one another.

    Abstract: This present invention relates to a rotary grinding tool, particularly to an endless grinding belt for a belt grinder machine, preferably used to grind wood profiles, in which a layer of elastic material is arranged on the working side of a rotary carrier element for abrasive, the thickness of which is a multiple of the thickness of the carrier element. The layer has on that surface which faces away from the carrier element a suitably prepared contour and can be coated with abrasive. The layer is divided into sections, each section consisting of a rubber block. The contour of the profile that is to be ground is reproduced in the blocks.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for bonding grinding material, in particular, endless grinding belts or grinding belt segments onto a grinding element, preferably a grinding disk, or the like. Used endless grinding belts can be removed from the grinding elements only under great difficulties. However, such operations must be performed at regular intervals, as soon as the service life of the endless grinding belt has been exceeded. In particular, the removal of adhesive residues from the grinding element is a tedious task and the use of aggressive solvents is disadvantageous for the adhesive. In order to eliminate these disadvantages, the invention provides that a separating layer which is made of an unstable material with respect to solvents, is applied on at least one of the two engaging faces of an endless grinding belt and the grinding element before applying the adhesive layer. Preferably, the separating layer is mounted on the engagement face of the grinding element.
