Publication number: 20240262395Abstract: A passenger ropeway system has a plurality of vehicles mounted on a traction cable for movement between its stations. A hazard detection evaluation unit is connected to cameras and evaluate image data from an exit area to determine the presence of a vehicle and passengers in that exit area. In the event of such presence, when another vehicle enters the exit area or is at a predetermined distance from such entry, an emergency deceleration or emergency stop signal is generated. The signal is used to slow down or stop the vehicle or vehicles directly and automatically without the need for an operator to be present. In addition, image signals from the cameras are transmitted to an operator display device via a signal transmitter so that an operator can restart the ropeway system if necessary.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 5, 2024Publication date: August 8, 2024Inventors: Gerd Dür, Tobias Stegemann

Patent number: 9193360Abstract: A cable railway installation has an endless conveying cable extending between terminal stations. Transport vehicles, such as chairs or gondolas, are coupleable to the conveying cable. In the two terminal stations the cable is guided over headwheels and, in optionally provided intermediate stations, it is guided over diverting pulleys, diverting rollers or the like. The transport vehicles entering the terminal stations are uncoupled from the conveying cable, conveyed through the stations by guide tires and then coupled to the conveying cable for exiting the stations. A load bearing structure, which carries components such as the headwheels, diverting pulleys and rollers, and the guide tires, is borne by at least one support disposed centrally between the paths of motion of the transport vehicles. An ascent leads up to the load bearing structure. The support carrying the load bearing structure is formed with a through passage through which the ascent is routed.Type: GrantFiled: August 14, 2013Date of Patent: November 24, 2015Assignee: INNOVA PATENT GMBHInventor: Gerd Duer
