    Abstract: Cavities are filled with a foam insulating material by introducing the reaction mixture through the outlet nozzle of a mixing head which is drawn lengthwise through the cavity at a rate adapted to the rate of foaming, wherein the reactivity of the reaction mixture is accelerated during the filling procedure so that the reaction mixture is foaming up simultaneously over the length of the cavity.
