  • Publication number: 20040242137
Abstract: The cylinder-shaped grinding tool (200,400) comprises a grinding cylinder (202,402) with a carrier roll (201,401). At least the generated surface (202a,402a) of the carrier roll is realized in the form of an abrasive material. A through-opening (201c,401c) is provided for the drive shaft (102) of a driving machine (100). According to the invention, the carrier roll has a length that is reduced relative to the grinding cylinder in such a way that at least a first end face (201a,401a) is set back relative to a first annular end face (202b,402b) of the grinding cylinder and a depression (501) is formed. The driving machine (100) for the grinding tool comprises a drive shaft (102) and a clamping element (105). According to the invention, this clamping element is realized in such a way that it can be fixed in a depression (501,502) without protruding over the respective annular end face of the grinding cylinder.

  • Patent number: 5201149
Abstract: A lamellar end grinding tool is described, which has a support plate provided with a central mandrel for placing on a driving machine, as well as a grinding wheel detachably fixed thereto. The grinding wheel comprises a carrier, preferably made from a fabric, which has on one side radially oriented grinding flaps overlapping in fan-like manner and fixed by adhesion and is provided on the other side with one surface of a burr surface fastening. The counterpart of the surface fastening is located on the support plate.

  • Patent number: 4718204
Abstract: The invention relates to a lamellar end grinding wheel in which abrasive flaps engage over one another in tile-like manner along the circumferential zones of a circular disc-shaped back plate and are advantageously fixed with the aid of fingers. The abrasive flaps are also anchored in the back plate in that thickened portions are provided along one or both sides of the rear edge region thereof. The anchoring means can also comprise the abrasive flaps having one or more slot-like recesses in the edge region thereof and through these can be passed fingers or finger portions.
