  • Patent number: 6993939
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a system for producing a multi-layer thread or fibre arrangement (GF) which is pre-fixed by means of a loop structure and is used a s a strip-type semi-finished product for reinforcing elements consisting of plastic or resin. Said fibre arrangement (GF) comprises layers consisting of stationary weft yarns (K) and layers consisting of thread or fibre warps (S, D,D?) which are stretched between conveyor chains in such a way that they are oriented in different directions. The aim of the invention is to reduce the costs and the required surface mass, simultaneously maintaining defined, required flexural strength.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 19, 2002
Date of Patent: February 7, 2006
Assignee: Karl Mayer Malimo Textilmaschinenfabrik GmbH

  • Patent number: 5140841
Abstract: In a textile machine including needles for forming a plurality of warp yarns into stitches and a guide bar for guiding the warp yarns to the needles, the guide bar is constructed to lay warp yarns in patterns without moving the entire guide bar by providing the guide bar with at least one guide block movable relative to a fixed point on the guide bar. Each of the guide blocks includes a respective guide for one or more warp yarns. At least one guide block is connected in a chain configuration to at least one distance altering element, and the distance altering element is controlled to variably alter the distance between the guide block and the fixed point.
