  • Patent number: 5740331
Abstract: Image information suitable for positive image generation and present in matrix form is transferred from a data processing device (1) to a converting device (5). The converting device (5) contains a storage device (2) accommodating at least two image lines (m) and an OR logic combining means (3). The latter, in order to generate image information suitable for inverse image generation of a pixel (P), logically combines the image information suitable for positive image generation of this pixel (P) with at least one further such item of image information of an adjacent pixel (P). The generated pixels (P) are output by the converting device (5) to an image reproduction device (4).

  • Patent number: 4199616
Abstract: In the illustrated embodiments the undersurface of the thermoplastic coating and the associated electrode are formed with a corrugated structure to produce a correspondingly regularly varying electric field at the exposed thermoplastic surface. The spacing between corrugations is much smaller than the desired x-ray image resolution so that the developed image in effect modulates the regular variation produced by the corrugations. Where the original corrugations are derived from an off-axis zone plate, the developed image can be read out by means of a divergent incident light beam.

  • Patent number: 4054367
Abstract: A process and apparatus for non-mechanically deflecting of a light beam with high resolution characterized by passing a linearly polarized beam through at least one electro-optical deflector and preferably two to obtain four possible beam directions, passing the four beam directions through a multicomponent deflector of prisms which direct each of the four beam directions to a given point on an acousto-optical light deflector which is a two-dimensional acousto-optical light deflector that deflects the beam into two-dimensional arrays on a screen or storage medium, with each one of the four beam directions causing the two-dimensional arrays to be disposed in a different quadrant of the screen or medium. Preferably, the beams leaving the acousto-optic deflector are passed through a four component polarizing filter which prevents undesired overlap between the zero order undeflected portion of the beam and the first orders.
