  • Patent number: 5012197
Abstract: An apparatus for determining the percentages of individual components of a mixture having at least two components of different electrical conductivities, the apparatus having at least two sensors connectable across an a.c. voltage source, and being arranged such that the mixture being introducible therebetween, wherein each sensor has a pin electrode having a first sensing surface for electrical contact with the mixture, and a plate electrode having a second sensing surface electrically insulated from the mixture, wherein the area of the second sensing surface is larger than the area of the first sensing surface; the pin electrode and the plate electrode of each sensor are each connected to the same potential of the voltage source.
